I just got my bike together and that 40 is making a funny knocking noise about 1 inch into the stroke. It sounds like the spring is hitting the stanchion. Any ideas? Was it doing this before?

thats normal for a fox 40 it goes away when your riding though, it was just re-built by fox racing shox so everything should be in order
